OVERVIEW OF LIM CHU KANG NEIGHBORHOOD
Lim Chu Kang is a planning area which is situated in the northwestern part of Singapore’s North Region. It is bordered by the Johor Straights in the north, Sungei Kadut in the east, and Western Water Catchment in the south and west. Currently, this region is mostly rural and based in close proximity to the Western Water Catchment. There are two major roads to access it, including the Old Choa Chu Kang road and Lim Chu Kang road. Since it is an undeveloped area, there are plenty of farms, agricultural facilities, and military training buildings here. Also, there is a main columbarium and a lot of cemeteries, as well as a variety of farms, including crocodile Farms, goat Farms, and vegetable Farms. Due to the surrounding biodiversity, more and more people are visiting Lim Chu Kang via the MRT station to explore the area. Most notably, the Ama Keng Temple in the area was constructed to worship the goddess of happiness and peace. There is also an old playground and wet market in Lim Chu Kang.
TYPES OF HOUSING IN LIM CHU KANG
Since Lim Chu Kang is a rural area, the total population is around 100 people. Most of the land is used for military and agricultural purposes. In general, housing in this residential area can be divided into two main types:?
PRIVATE HOUSING
Private housing is the most common type of housing in Lim Chu Kang. However, unlike private houses in other planning areas, especially the Central Region, the private houses in Lim Chu Kang are often conventional units with one or two stories. The area of each unit is also large and spacious thanks to the availability of land in the area. However, due to the rural landscape, there aren’t many nearby facilities or amenities, making it difficult for residents to meet basic needs. The majority of residents in these units are farmers or those people working in military camps.
PUBLIC HOUSING OR HDB FLATS
The Housing Development Board built a few public housing units in the area in 1979. However, most of these were sold back to the government for military purposes. Thus, there are not so many public houses in Lim Chu Kang. Most of the former residents have moved to newly constructed housing units in the Jurong West planning area.
Condominiums
In certain areas of Lim Chu Kang, there are also condominium apartments and complexes. These properties are often classified as groups of multiple houses or buildings that are situated in a confined space. Condominiums in the area also come in with exclusive facilities and amenities, making the prices extremely expensive. As a result, the majority of residents in these areas are high-income Singaporeans and expats.

They have some good cleaners like Cung Cen Par and Nant Soe Soe. They might change the cleaners due to schedule but they are fairly accommodating to adjust when you request. Glad to have found this service. Would recommend.
